On the Donor

Founded in 1766 by James Christie, Christie’s is a world-renowned auction house.  As an industry leader, Christie’s believes in the power of art in society and they endeavour to use their position in the art market as a positive force.  To act upon its global equality, diversity & inclusion initiatives, Christie’s is pleased to support those social-economically disadvantaged students who want to enter the art world.  In 2021, Christie’s pledged a donation to assist needy undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts to learn outside the classroom and explore their career interests through different kinds of experiential learning opportunities in the art world.
