In 2020, the University launched a taught postgraduate scholarship scheme to open up more opportunities for aspiring fresh graduates in pursuit of further education at an unconventional time when the global economic outlook is unstable. It aimed to fund graduating students to pursue postgraduate studies so that they would be better equipped to make a positive impact on society as they tackle grand challenges ahead.
In May 2021, the scholarship scheme was extended to benefit the 2021 graduating class. Scholarships will be offered in 2021-22 in 57 programmes ranging across nine faculties, including Architecture, Arts, Business & Economics, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Science and Social Sciences.
The Scholarship shall be awarded to undergraduate students of the 2021 graduating class who are admitted to any one of the taught postgraduate programmes.
The Scholarship shall be of a value equivalent to 50% of the relevant tuition fee, and it shall be used to offset the awardee’s tuition fee payment.
The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other scholarships and/or non-merit-based financial aids (except for government student financial assistance schemes).
