On the Donor
In September 2021, Mr Cliff Cheang pledged a donation to set up a scholarship on behalf of the late Ms Louisa Cheang (BSocSc 1985), former CEO of Hang Seng Bank Limited, to support underprivileged young talents at the Faculty of Business and Economics in pursuing their dreams and nurture them to become business leaders with a heart to contribute back to the society.
Purpose and Scope
Four scholarships shall be awarded annually to full-time penultimate-year undergraduate students in the Faculty of Business and Economics, who are permanent residents in Hong Kong.
The Scholarship shall be awarded based on academic merit (CGPA 3.4 or above) and other attributes such as but not limited to demonstrated leadership potential; enthusiasm for business studies and aspiration to pursue a career in the business field; and participation in community service. In cases of students of equal merit, priority shall be given to those with financial need.
