Dao Yu Charitable Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship in Buddhist Counselling

In 2022, Dao Yu Charitable Foundation generously pledged an annual donation, of a

minimum of HK$210,000 per year, for an initial period of 5 years, to establish a Scholarship

to support students of the Master of Buddhist Counselling (MBC) programme who are

Buddhist clergies.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded annually to students of MBC programme who are

Buddhist clergies, on the basis of the applicants’ academic merit and financial need.

Priority shall be given to those pursuing the 1-year full-time programme. Under special

circumstances, the Selection Committee may consider to award the Scholarship to

students pursuing the 2-year part-time programme. An interview may be conducted if

necessary, and the interview performance shall be taken into consideration

3. The exact award value and the number of awards to be made each year shall be

determined by the Selection Committee based on funding availability. In any event, the

value of each scholarship shall be not less than HK$10,000.
