HKU Business School Future Leader Scholarship

On the Donor

In 2022, with an annual donation pledge of HK$40,000 for a period of three years from a group

of community leaders, the Faculty of Business and Economics (HKU Business School)

established the Future Leader Scholarship to support its local undergraduate students. The

Faculty will provide a matching fund of HK$40,000 each year towards the donation, bringing

the total scholarship fund to HK$80,000 each year.

In June 2022, a group of community leaders initially pledged an annual donation for 3 academic years to establish the Future Leader Scholarship for local undergraduate students in the Faculty of Business and Economics (HKU Business School). In January 2025, they extended their support for the Scholarship for an additional 3 years.

Purpose and Scope

Up to four scholarships shall be made annually to full-time local Year 2 or Year 3

undergraduate students who are studying in the HKU Business School with no record of

academic misconduct, and have completed at least two regular semesters of study at the

time of application, on the basis of academic merit with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or top

15% ranking in their degree cohort.

3. The Scholarship shall be of the value of HK$20,000 each. Each recipient can only receive

the Scholarship once throughout his/her undergraduate studies.
