Engineering Postgraduate Fellowship

The Engineering Postgraduate Fellowship is established with the aim to attract talented and academically strong candidates to read research degree at the University of Hong Kong. Up to twenty fellowships each worth HK$70,000 for admitted candidates reading PhD degree shall be available for award in each academic year. Students who have attained or expect to achieve excellent academic record in their Bachelor's degree or postgraduate studies at the time of application are eligible for nomniation.

Purpose and Scope

The Fellowship is awarded to candidates studying on a full-time basis for either 3-year or 4-year PhD programme normally with a First Class Honours in Bachelor's degree or equivalent standard. Students who achieve Second Upper Class of Honours but have proven track records of other forms of excellence may also be considered for award. PhD students studying on the part-time basis or subsequently transferring to the part-time mode shall not be eligible for the award.

Candidates who successfully secure the University Postgraduate Fellowship shall be awarded the Engineering Postgarduate Fellowship.
