Family of KH Poon Scholarship in Data Science
On the Donor
Two scholarships shall be awarded annually to full-time students of Year 2 or above who
are pursuing the BEng(DS&E) degree programme in the Department of Computer
Science, on the basis of academic merit.
In 2023, the family of the late Mr. Kwong Hung POON, an HKU graduate of 1954, donated to establish a Scholarship for students pursuing the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Data Science and Engineering (BEng(DS&E)). In 2025, the Scholarship was extended to include the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (BEng(AI&DataSc)) in the School of Computing and Data Science.
Purpose and Scope
Two scholarships shall be awarded annually to full-time students of Year 2 or above who are pursuing the degrees of BEng(DS&E) or BEng(AI&DataSc) in the School of Computing and Data Science, on the basis of academic merit.
