Surveying Students Entrance Scholarship

In April 2014, the Department received a sum for setting up of travel grant to the Surveying students in the form of a prize. The Prize was originally selected among and awarded to Year 3 BSc(Surveying) students taking the course RECO3031 “Cities and Urban Development”, in which a study field trip forms an integral part of the curriculum. Following the programme revamp in 2022-23, to better utilize the funding and attract more excellent students to the programme, the Prize shall be changed to a scholarship to be awarded.

Purpose and Scope

One scholarship shall be awarded each year, as entrance scholarship, to a student admitted to study the BSc(Surveying) programme, on the basis of academic merit as shown at the prevailing public examinations for admission to the University, such as the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) or other equivalent qualifications. In case more than one student has the same score, a selection interview will be held and the interview performance will be taken into consideration.
