In 2023, a Scholarship was established for outstanding students from participating Belt and Road countries in support of their studies in Master of Statistics or Master of Data Science.
A maximum of six scholarships shall be awarded annually to new students who are from one of the participating Belt and Road countries and have enrolled in the Master of Data Science programme or Master of Statistics programme, on the basis of academic merit and financial need upon admission. Interview performance shall be taken into consideration if necessary.
Each scholarship shall entail:
The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other scholarships and/or financial aids (except for Government Financial Assistance Schemes).
Should a recipient fail to meet the graduation requirements; or withdraw from or transfer to another programme after being awarded the Scholarship, he/she shall be required to return the disbursed scholarship amount to the School of Computing and Data Science.
