Tim Yip Enrichment Scholarship

On the Donor

In February 2024, in support of the “Pay It Forward Scholarship Campaign”, Dr TH Yip, a medical alumnus (MBBS 2003), generously pledged a donation for the establishment of a new enrichment scholarship in the LKS Faculty of Medicine.

Purpose and Scope

One award shall be made annually to full-time MBBS students in support of their participation in academic research, elective attachment, voluntary and community services or intercalation studies overseas (excluding Taiwan and Mainland China) that are duly approved by the Medical Faculty.

The awarding of the Scholarship shall be determined by a Selection Committee on the basis of the students’ academic merit, financial need, activity duration and budget. Preference shall be given to students with financial need, from less advantaged backgrounds, those who belong to minority groups or those who have a had a harder early life than others.

Value of Award	HK$10,000 - HK$30,000 each
