In 2024, the School of Chinese of the Faculty of Arts established a scholarship
for graduates of the Master of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature
(MACLL) programme.
Up to two scholarships shall be awarded annually to graduates of the
MACLL programme who have demonstrated exceptional academic merits
by obtaining a distinction in MACLL, as well as a first class honours degree
or a minimum overall average score of 87, or a CGPA with a minimum of
3.60 in the undergraduate studies of Chinese Language and Literature.
The Scholarship shall be granted to awardees on a monthly basis of PhD
candidature at HKU. The scholarship value shall be equivalent to the
Postgraduate Scholarship (PGS) of the Graduate School at HKU which is
subject to review by the University from time to time.
