On the Donor

In 2024, Bank of China (Hong Kong) donated to set up the Bank of China (Hong Kong) - One Belt One Road Scholarship to support undergraduate students at the Faculty of Business and Economics who have achieved academic excellence. In 2025, Bank of China (Hong Kong) further pledged a donation to continue supporting the Scholarship.

Purpose and Scope

Five scholarships shall be awarded annually to full-time non-local non-first-year and non-final-year undergraduate students from participating Belt and Road countries at the Faculty of Business and Economics, on the basis of academic merit with CGPA 3.0 or above or in the top 15% in class. In order to promote global exchange and a diverse international student body, priority consideration shall be given to students from ASEAN countries. In the case of equal academic performance, priority shall be given to students with financial difficulties.

The Scholarship may be held concurrently with other scholarships, awarded by the University, but it cannot be held concurrently with any scholarships offered by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited administered by the University, and the total value of awards held does not exceed the maximum amount stipulated by the Senate each year.
