On the Donor

In September 2024, Torishima (Hong Kong) Ltd., a pump manufacturer founded in 1919 in Japan, pledged a donation to establish the “Torishima Pump Scholarship”. This Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students at the Faculty of Engineering who demonstrate outstanding academic performance.

Purpose and Scope

Four scholarships shall be awarded each year to full-time local and mainland China undergraduate students on the basis of academic merit (with CGPA 3.8 or above). 

The Scholarship shall be allocated as follows:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering): Two scholarships, one for a year 2 student and one for a year 3 student.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering): Two scholarships, one for a year 2 student and one for a year 3 student.
