In 1998, Maunsell Consultants Asia Ltd. established an annual scholarship
scheme at the University. In 2008, the scholarship was re-named as the “Maunsell
AECOM Geotechnical Engineering Scholarship”. In 2009, the scholarship was further
re-named as the “AECOM Geotechnical Engineering Scholarship”.

Purpose and Scope
One scholarship shall be awarded each year to a student in his/her third year of
study for the B.Eng. degree in the Department of Civil Engineering. The
award shall be made on the basis of academic merit as shown in the
examination results of his/her second year of study especially in the
geotechnical engineering subject.
