Mike Wong Scholarship for Best Dissertation in Institutional Analysis

On the Donor

Professor Mike Wong, JP, generously donated a sum to the Department of Real Estate and Construction in July 2019 and June 2020. Aiming to identify high calibre candidates and develop Hong Kong’s next generation of professionals in the field of real estate and construction, the donation supported the establishment of awards for BSc in Surveying students from the academic year 2019-20. In November 2024, the donor further pledged a sum to support the Scholarship.

Purpose and Scope

Two scholarships, of HK$20,000 each, shall be awarded annually to two final year students pursing the BSc in Surveying, who have attained the highest marks in the course Dissertation with subject topics related to institutional analysis. There shall be no splitting of award.

If there are more than two candidates with equal academic merit, or any other situation deemed necessary, shortlisted students may be invited to an interview with the Selection Committee. Following the interview, the Selection Committee shall consider all components and recommend two candidates for the award.
