On the Donor

In April 2025, Professor Philip N L Chen (BA 1977; MBA 1984; Honorary University Fellow 2013) donated to establish a Scholarship to recognise outstanding students graduating from full-time or part-time Master of Business Administration (“MBA”) studies in the Faculty of Business and Economics (“HKU Business School”). The donation shall be utilised to set up an endowment fund dedicated to supporting the Scholarship.

Purpose and Scope

Two scholarships shall be awarded annually to final year students studying full-time or part-time MBA programmes on the basis of academic performance upon completion of the programme, future potential and dedication to HKU Business School. A maximum of two additional scholarships can be awarded, subject to the Faculty’s funding availability.
