Jessie and Thomas Tam Charitable Foundation Scholarship
On the Donor
In January 2026, Mr Trevor Yang, representing the Jessie & Thomas Tam Charitable
Foundation Limited, pledged an annual donation to establish the “Jessie and
Thomas Tam Charitable Foundation Scholarship” to continue the legacy of his late grandparents –
Mrs Jessie Tam and Mr William Ngar-Tse Thomas Tam (BA 1920, a distinguished alumnus and
former Court member of HKU). The Scholarship aims to support outstanding undergraduate
students in the Faculty of Arts, the School of Computing and Data Science, and the School of
Innovation.
Purpose and Scope
The Scholarship shall be awarded each year to full-time undergraduate students who are pursuing the full-degree programmes listed below, based on academic merit. Financial need may also be taken into consideration.
