CDS Master Programmes Entrance Scholarship

On the Donor

In 2026, the School of Computing and Data Science at The University of Hong Kong merged the “Master of Science in Computer Science Hong Kong Scholarship” and “The China Postgraduate Scholarships for Computer Science” to establish an Entrance Scholarship in support of outstanding Master’s students.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded annually to new full time and part time students admitted to the MSc(CompSc), MSc(ECom&IComp) and MSc(FTDA) programmes, based on the following criteria:

• Academic performance,
  
• Interview performance, if applicable.
  

The value of the Scholarship shall range from HK$10,000 to HK$50,000. The exact number and value of each award shall be determined by the Selection Committee each year, based on the criteria above and the funding availability.

Should a recipient withdraw from or transfer to another programme after being awarded the Scholarship, he/she shall be required to return the disbursed scholarship amount to the School of Computing and Data Science.
