MicroBit Scholarship

On the Donor

In April 2026, MicroBit Holding Limited pledged a donation to support the LINK (Leadership and Innovation Network for Knowledge) programme at The University of Hong Kong, aimed at inspiring undergraduate students and promoting talent development. Part of this pledge is allocated for the establishment of a scholarship to support and encourage outstanding students participating in the LINK programme to contribute to the community.

Purpose and Scope

Sixty scholarships shall be awarded annually to students who:

(i) are full-time undergraduate students of any discipline; and
(ii) have completed and passed the LINK programme organised by the Horizons Office.

The Scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit, with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or a top 50% class ranking for degree programmes without GPA. Candidates shall also be evaluated on their overall performance during the LINK programme, including but not limited to demonstrating outstanding leadership capabilities, collaboration, project execution and/or presentation skills, or other relevant accomplishments, as well as qualities such as creativity, change-maker values, or innovation, on the basis of their application statement.
