In 2025, Bank of China (Hong Kong) donated to set up a Scholarship to support undergraduate students at the Faculty of Business and Economics who have achieved academic excellence.
Seven scholarships shall be awarded annually to undergraduate students in the Faculty of Business and Economics, based on the following allocations:
i) Three scholarships shall be awarded to students taking the following courses, on the basis of academic merit with subject grades in the “A” range and a ranking in the top 5% of the class.
ii) Three scholarships shall be awarded to students of the Bachelor of Finance in Asset Management and Private Banking (AMPB) programme, with one scholarship each for Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 students. The Scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit, with a Year GPA or Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above and a ranking in the top 5% of the class. An additional bonus point shall be given to students who have demonstrated strong extracurricular engagement and contributions to the AMPB programme.
iii) One scholarship shall be awarded to a Year 2 or above student of the AMPB programme, who has demonstrated academic competence in asset and wealth management-related major subjects, with a Year GPA or Cumulative of GPA 3.2 or above. The candidate shall also show strong commitment to the AMPB programme, including involvement in extracurricular activities, particularly case competitions, industry networking, and internship experience in related fields, and/or has made outstanding contributions to the AMPB programme and/or the Faculty.
The Scholarship may be held concurrently with other scholarships awarded by the University but it cannot be held concurrently with any scholarships offered by Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited administered by the University, and the total value of awards held shall not exceed the maximum amount stipulated by the Senate each year.
