HKCA Site Investigation Committee Scholarship

On the Donor

In 2006, the Site Investigation Contractor's Committee (地質勘探小組) of the Hong Kong Construction Association (香港建造商會) supported the Master of Science in the field of Applied Geosciences programme by sponsoring a scholarship. In 2009, the donor decided to support a scholarship in the Bachelor of Science programme in the field of Geology instead of Master of Science programme.  In 2019, the Scholarship was renamed as “HKCA Site Investigation Committee Scholarship”. 

The Site Investigation Contractor's Committee is set up to improve the quality of the site investigation industry. It represents HKCA to negotiate and resolve problems related to site investigation works with the relevant Government departments, and in particular GEO, and provide a consultation channel for Government and other professional bodies on matters related to the site investigation industry.

Purpose and Scope

The Scholarship shall be awarded to a student completing the third or final year of Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or Geology (Intensive) and whose studies are predominantly within the field of Geology, on the basis of academic merit.
