HKU has been actively raising the University's research profile in order to benchmark against the top universities in the world. To do so, it is important for the University to expand the size of its research postgraduate population. This Postgraduate Fellowships scheme serves the purpose of attracting high-calibre applicants from around the world for admission to various PhD programmes at HKU.
